A lean organisation provides the greatest customer value with the fewest resources, a philosophy increasingly important in today’s competitive business market. A sound understanding of the concept and benefits of a lean environment, as well as knowledge of business techniques and working in teams, is essential. Our nationally recognised qualification is designed to provide individuals with an appreciation and understanding of some key principles of lean organisation management.

Learning Aim

This qualification aims to improve business performance through
continuous professional development of employees and their skill set.

The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to:
* understand lean organisation techniques in business
* Know and understand business improvement tools and techniques
* Know and understand how to work effectively in a business team
* access the business sector or progress to further qualifications and learning.

Learning outcomes

A statement of what a learner will know,understand or be able to do as a result of a process of learning. As well as achieve a NCFE CACHE LEVEL 2 Certificate in Lean Organisation Management Techniques which is an nationaly accredited and recognised qualification.

Course content unit 1

“This unit contains three sections: – Lean Organisation Techniques in Business

Section 1: Understand the concept of a lean environment
Section 2: Be able to implement the productivity needs analysis process
Section 3: Be able to produce a process map”

Course content unit 2

This unit contains four sections: – Business Improvment Tools and Techniques

Section 1: Know about continous improvement techniques (Kaizen)
Section 2: Understand the principles and techniques of workplace orginisation
Section 3: Be able to use visual indicators to improve the work enviroment
Section 4: Know ways to eliminate variance from process in the workplace

Course content unit 3

This unit contains three sections: – Working in Business Teams

Section 1: Understand what makes an effective team
Section 2: Be able to work effectively in a team
Section 3: Understand the role of a team leader
